Jakarta - Dengan penampilan bagus di fase grup, Filipina adalah lawan yang patut diwaspadai Indonesia. 'Merah Putih' disebut layak mewaspadai Younghusband bersaudara yang menjadi motor permainan Filipina.

Lolos dari grup dengan rekor sempurna di tiga laganya, Indonesia menjadi salah satu favorit juara di turnamen antar negara se-Asia Tenggara ini. Apalagi Filipina dahulu kerap kali ditekuk dengan skor telak.

Namun Filipina yang sekarang bukanlah Filipina yang dulu. Keberhasilan mereka lolos ke semifinal untuk pertama kalinya dan memegang rekor tak terkalahkan di Grup B, membuat pasukan Simon McMenemy ini tak lagi dipandang sebelah mata.

Firman Utina dkk. harus berhati-hati karena Fiipina punya delapan pemain keturunan yang ada di starting eleven-nya.

Dua yang patut diwaspadai adalah James dan Phil Younghusband. James berposisi sebagai sayap kanan. Dalam tiga partai, meski baru mencetak satu gol pun, namun pergerakannya di sayap, dan juga umpan-umpan silangnya, kerap membahayakan pertahanan.

Sementara adiknya, Phil, berposisi sebagai striker bertinggi 180 cm punya keunggulan lewat duel udara. Dengan ditangani oleh McMenemy yang asal Inggris, taktik umpan-umpan panjang bakal jadi andalan Filipina.

Adalah Direktur Teknik PSSI, Sutan Harhara, yang memberi penilaian demikian usai dirinya memantau langsung laga Filipina kontra Myanmar, 8 Desember lalu di Vietnam.

"Kita harus mewaspadai adik-kakak James Younghusband dan Phil Younghusband. Tanpa dukungan lini tengah mereka tetap mampu melakukan counter attack," tukas Sutan saat ditemui di kantor PSSI, Senayan, Jakarta, Jumat (10/12/2010) sore WIB

"Saat melawan Myanmar mereka menurunkan tim terbaik. Mereka suka main  cepat dan mengandalkan bola-bola panjang. Tidak salah mereka dilatih pelatih Inggris," tutup mantan pelatih PSMS Medan itu.

Indonesia Waspadai Semangat Baru Filipina

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Asisten pelatih timnas Indonesia, Wolfgang Pikal, menilai Filipina tidak boleh dianggap enteng saat bertemu di partai semifinal Piala AFF 2010. Sebab, Filipina memiliki semangat besar untuk menjadi juara semenjak ditangani pelatih muda Simon Mc Menemey.

Kita harus fokus pada semifinal. Jangan terlena dulu. Filipina punya semangat baru dan pelatih yang bagus.

Filipina keluar sebagai runner-up Grup B seusai menahan imbang Myanmar 0-0. Dengan begitu, mereka berhadapan dengan Indonesia yang berstatus juara Grup A.
Di babak penyisihan, Filipina tampil mengejutkan meskipun bukan negara sepak bola. Tim besutan Simon Mc Menemey itu mampu mengalahkan juara bertahan Vietnam 2-0 dan menahan imbang 1-1 pemegang juara tiga kali Piala AFF, Singapura.
Sejumlah kalangan menilai Indonesia mampu mengatasi Filipina. Dari 17 kali pertemuan kedua tim, Indonesia mampu mengalahkan Filipina sebanyak 16 kali. Sementara sisanya berakhir imbang. Namun, Pikal menilai Filipina sebagai lawan yang tangguh.
"Kita harus fokus pada semifinal. Jangan terlena dulu. Filipina punya semangat baru dan pelatih yang bagus," jelas Pikal.
"Mereka juga diperkuat delapan pemain naturalisasi. Sepak pojok dan tendangan bebas mereka cukup berbahaya," tambah Pikal.
Bertemu Filipina di babak semifinal menjadi sebuah keuntungan besar bagi Firman Utina dkk. Pasalnya, Filipina menggelar laga kandang di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno setelah tidak memiliki stadion layak untuk menggelar pertandingan internasional.
Pada leg pertama, Indonesia akan berstatus sebagai tamu pada 16 Desember. Tiga hari kemudian, giliran Indonesia berstatus tuan rumah.

ALL EYES ON INDONESIA’S ‘FOREIGN’ PLAYERS

JAKARTA (Dec 3, 2010) – Indonesia’s ‘foreign’ players – Christian Gonzalez and Irfan Haarys Bachdim – have come under the spotlight here after scoring goals in their rout of Malaysia and are likely to see far more action including tomorrow’s tie against Laos before this year’s AFF Suzuki Cup draws to an end. The duo combined well upfront and scored a goal each as Indonesia swept aside Malaysia 5-1. Gonzalez, currently playing for Persib Bandung, is from Uruguay but has been plying his trade in Indonesia for many years and is even married to a local. Irfan on the other hand was born in Holland but as his father is Indonesian, the player opted to move here and represent his father’s homeland. The match against Malaysia marked the duo’s official international appearance for their new country and they both certainly made the best of it. In fact, with the duo leading the strikeforce, veteran striker Bambang Pamungkas was left on the bench. Gonzalez, nicknamed El Loco by the local media, has been a leading scorer in the Indonesian league and could be the key to Indonesia’s dreams of winning their first ever AFF Suzuki Cup this year. The striker is on fire and has now scored four goals for Indonesia in three internationals. He scored three goals in friendlies against Taiwan and Timor Leste in the run-up to this event. Assistant coach Wolfgang Pikal told reporters at the Pre-Match Press Conference that head coach Alfred Riedl would name the starting line-up at a team briefing at noon tomorrow. “I am pleased to say that with the exception of Arif (Suyono) all the other players are in good condition and ready for action. We are most likely to field the same team afterall they performed very well against Malaysia. Irfan played very well, so did Christian and Okto (Maniani).” But he warned that Indonesia cannot afford to make mistakes which had allowed Malaysia to score. “The Laos strikers are fast and we can’t make the same mistake again. Laos showed that they are a team to contend with against Thailand. We can see the gap between teams have reduced and Laos is one of those who has improved vastly. Laos coach David Booth said that his preparations against Indonesia would be no different from when they played Thailand two days ago. “I always said that the three teams in this group were all difficult. “We would like to perform the way we did in the first game.” Meanwhile, Booth said that he was not surprised with the Philippines draw with Singapore. “We played them and I was not surprised at all.”

 Savings For Child Financially Prepares Them For Their Future

In a day where people are predicting the second depression, guardians worry about how their children will survive in a financially starved society. They remember their own youth. The emotional angst they underwent when they embarked into the real world and realized how much surviving cost. To prepare their children, guardians want to give a financial grounding. So they open savings for child, teaching them the importance of saving for future expenditures.

The decision about how early guardians should open accounts for children lies with the guardians. If they provide the children with an allowance, they may consider opening an account at ages five or six. At ages twelve and thirteen, children may begin performing chores around the neighborhood, such as babysitting or mowing the lawn, and need a place to hold their compensation. Only the caregivers can decide when their children are ready to learn about savings accounts.

Establishing a savings account requires parents to speak with a bank representative, such as at Wells Fargo or Bank of America. At the meeting, they will sign papers which verify their responsibility in paying funds the children may potentially overdraw. The bank will not be held responsible for children learning how to balance their accounts.

Once the papers are signed, a deposit must be made to the new account. The deposit amounts differ for each bank, but Bank of America requests $100. The guardians must pay the fee if the adolescents cannot.

After opening accounts for children, parents should consider ways to teach them how and why they should save. For example, they can explain to the children household financial expenditures. Clarifying how they pay expenses with money they earn from working. Additionally, they can inform their teenage children, who have part time jobs, on the necessity of saving for unexpected emergencies and hidden taxes. Most importantly, they should instruct them to not spend their money loosely, but to try and save some from every payment.

Save children from future hardships. Take time to inform them how to create a budget, apportioning some funds to pay bills and other funds to save. Within enough time, and a high enough interest payment rate, the children will have a strong financial grounding. To ensure children are emotionally and physically secure for their future, open a savings for child now and watch as they enter into the world and achieve their dreams.

Waste Not Want Not Think About Being Green by: Chris Pelshaw i We live in a wasteful world, and although we try to make an effort to be green it is usually just a feeble attempt. Putting your plastics in a recycle can does not make you green. Green is a way of life. It is a simple Idea. Reuse everything that you have and this will do two things. 1 You will not be helping to fill the local land fill 2 You will be taking trash and turning it into treasure. Today I want to talk about reusing that desk or dresser that you are planning on throwing away. When you are trying to save things you really have to think outside the box. Your old dresser or desk could be turned into a sink vanity, or storage in a garage. You could even donate it. Give it away for free on craigslist. Just don’t throw it away. Trust me your local landfill has enough trash. If your piece of furniture is not good enough to re use you should think about its parts. Maybe the top can be a shelf, or the drawers can be used as storage somewhere else. Maybe the knobs are good or the legs, etc. The point is that everything has a use, and a place, and that place is not the land fill. As a general contractor in Denver Colorado I have seen waste first hand. Maybe as a family trip you should go to your local landfill. See for yourself. It is full of all of the crap that Americans buy all the time because they wanted it, and then they deemed it trash later. As a General ! Contractor I recycle everything. Scrap metals, Wood, Roofing Shingles, Furniture, Construction debris, etc. I have seen homes built out of recycled wood, concrete, tires, even straw. I personally reuse all of the scrap tile that I get from jobs so to make mosaics. I recycle my wood, and if it is not usable as wood then I use it in my fireplace for heat. When you think about it everything is reusable. Maybe not for what it was intended for but something else.
